To Confirm or to Conform?
Ravi: Hello Madam, Can you conform the project details according to the guidelines sent by MD today?
Kavi: Yes sir, but tell me whether you want me to confirm or conform?
Ravi: Would you tell me the difference between them madam?
Kavi: Well, Conform means stick to the rules or guidelines like following the rules, not making any deviations, etc
Ravi: And Confirm is?
Kavi: Confirm means to substantiate or reiterate an information or a fact, like in..
Ravi: like in, clearing a confusion by bringing out the correct information?
Kavi: Yup, there you go. Now tell me, what do you want me to do? Confirm or Conform?
Ravi: Well, actually, I’d prefer that all the guidelines are conformed and I need you to confirm the same :)
Kavi: Ah ha, definitely sir!
